El Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación y el Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA) anunciaron hoy, en la sala Argentina del Centro Cultural Kirchner, la programación de la 37° edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata, reconocido por la Federación Internacional de Asociaciones de Productores Cinematográficos (FIAPF) como el único de clase A de Latinoamérica.
El Festival se realizará entre el 3 y el 13 de noviembre, volviendo a la presencialidad completa, lo que permitirá el encuentro entre cineastas, elencos y el público en las salas cinematográficas de Mar del Plata.
Esta edición estará dedicada a la figura y filmografía de Leonardo Favio, con motivo del décimo aniversario de su muerte, el 5 de noviembre. Ese día se realizará un evento especial en el Auditorium, donde se proyectará la película Juan Moreira (1973), mientras que en el Teatro Colón se podrán ver, con entrada gratuita y en 35 mm, El dependiente (1969) y Nazareno Cruz y el lobo (1975).
La película que abrirá oficialmente el festival será Sin aliento (1960), un homenaje especial al célebre realizador francés Jean-Luc Godard. La exhibición de su icónica ópera prima, protagonizada por Jean-Paul Belmondo y Jean Seberg, será un fiel reflejo de la indeleble pregnancia de la obra de Godard en el imaginario cinéfilo global.
La 37° edición del Festival fue presentada por el ministro de Cultura de la Nación, Tristán Bauer; el vicepresidente en ejercicio de la presidencia del INCAA, Nicolás Batlle; el presidente del Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata, Fernando Juan Lima; la directora ejecutiva de la Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social (ANSES), María Fernanda Raverta; la presidenta del Instituto Cultural de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Florencia Saintout; el director artístico del Festival, Pablo Conde; y la coordinadora de la Cinemateca nacional del INCAA, Mariana Avramo.
