Publicado el 1 de abril, Unlimited Love es el duodécimo trabajo de la banda californiana, que tiene un sonido nuevo, más fresco. Black Summer fue su primer adelanto que está influenciado por Jimi Hendrix. Ya se encuentra disponible en todas las plataformas digitales.
En una reciente entrevista publicada en Reino Unido en el medio especializado NME, el vocalista Anthony Kiedis reconoce la importancia del retorno de Frusciante a la banda: “Fue el cambio más monumental en nuestras vidas”. De su mano, indica el artículo, en este álbum vuelven “los riffs melancólicos, coros de himnos y melodías suavemente cantadas”, conectando con otros álbumes míticos en los que el guitarrista aún militaba en sus filas, como “Californication” (1999) y “By The Way” (2002).
Con Unlimeted Love, regresan el funk al estilo californiano de la banda. Ya se escuchan los rumores de que están negociando las fechas de su gira en Suramérica, para 2023, y que buscarían hacer conciertos solos, no formar parte del circuito de festivales.
