Feliz Día Internacional de The Beatles

El 16 de enero es el Día Internacional de The Beatles, para los fans que consideran que el día de la inauguración del Cavern Club, lugar en que hicieron su debut John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison y Ringo Starr, es la fecha que se debe considerar como día oficial de la agrupación.

Sin embargo otro grupo de seguidores y más concretamente los británicos dicen que el Día de The Beatles es el 6 de julio, fecha en la cual se conocieron Lennon y McCartney los fundadores de la banda.

La agrupación musical The Beatles que surgió en Inglaterra, logró gran auge en una época y momento histórico de enorme turbulencia.

La década de los 60 fue conocida como uno de los momentos más delicados en cuestión al tema de la guerra y la paz. El mundo se estaba recuperando de la desastrosa Segunda Guerra Mundial y en medio de esta revuelta Estados Unidos decide comenzar una guerra en Vietnam.

Estos 4 jóvenes que empezaron como un grupo pop con toque de Rock and Roll, invadieron las pantallas del mundo con letras que hablaban de igualdad, paz y como hacer un mundo mucho mejor para todos, llegando a ser percibidos como la encarnación de los ideales progresistas de los nuevos tiempos, extendiendo su influencia a las revoluciones sociales, el movimiento hippie y toda la cultura de los 60.

Existe también la fecha del 10 de julio, considerado también como el Día de Los Beatles porque fue el 10 de julio de 1964 cuando la banda regresa a Liverpool triunfante de su gira estadounidense, justo para rodar la premiere de su película A Hard Day’s Night.
