Universo Mafalda, es una recopilación temática de creaciones del afamado dibujante que revisita aspectos de su trabajo e incluye distintas historietas protagonizadas por la popular niña y sus amigos, junto a un estudio periodístico realizado por la investigadora Judith Gociol.
El nuevo libro, editado por el sello Lumen, está organizado por temáticas que recorren los tópicos más frecuentados por el humorista gráfico, de quien el próximo 30 de septiembre se cumplirá un año de su muerte; y cuenta con prólogo del periodista Carlos Ulanovsky, quien supo entrevistarlo en numerosas ocasiones.
El libro incluye artículos súper interesantes que no llegaron a salir publicados y el contenido ampliado de los fascículos que publicó el diario La Nación en 2019, junto a muñecos de los personajes, contó a Télam Julieta Colombo, sobrina de Quino y encargada de seguir difundiendo la obra y de administrar su enorme herencia cultural.
En el prólogo, el periodista Carlos Ulanovsky hace un repaso de datos interesantes de los personajes (los padres Raquel y “Papá”, sus amigos Susanita, Felipe, Manolito, Miguelito, Libertad, su hermano Guille, la tortuga Burocracia) u objetos como el auto Citroen, el triciclo, la radio, la tele y el globo terráqueo.
