El cineasta estadounidense Tim Burton trabaja en una serie relacionada con Los locos Addams para la plataforma de streaming: Netflix, que estará centrada en Merlina, la hija mayor de la familia, y busca incorporar al proyecto a la actriz Christina Ricci, que interpretó a ese personaje en las películas realizadas por el director en 1991 y 1993.

Según consignó la agencia de noticias DPA, Burton espera contar con la participación de Ricci para que esta vez se ponga en la piel de Morticia Addams, esposa de Homero y madre de Merlina y su hermano menor, Pericles.

Burton, que llevó a la famosa y particular familia en “Los locos Addams” y en la secuela estrenada dos años después, también se encuentra preparando la película Beetlejuice 2, continuación de la original de 1998, protagonizada por Michael Keaton.
